the teacher

I'm Mr. Mauch. I teach US History, Economics, and Law, and I believe the best way to learn any of them is to do them — argue the case, trade the stock, sign the compromise. If class occasionally feels like a game, that's not an accident.

the site

the desk is the home base for my classes — what we're doing now, what's coming, and the simulations that make this classroom what it is. Assignments, grades, and turn-ins still live in Google Classroom; this is everything else.

It's also a personal project: built from scratch with Astro and Tailwind, deployed on Netlify, and maintained with an AI assistant. The site itself is proof that the best way to learn something is to build it.
